Q: Is the Sonoma Community Writers Festival free?
A: Yes, the festival is entirely free and open to the public.
Q: Do I need to register to attend the Sonoma Community Writers Festival?
A: No. Swing on by the campus Student Center to grab your program and enjoy!
Q: Where is the Sonoma Community Writers Festival?
A: The festival is located on the Sonoma State University campus—1801 E. Cotati Avenue in Rohnert Park
Q: Is there parking?
A: Yes. You can park in the General Lots (E, F, and J lots) for $5 or you can park in Reserved Lots (C and D lots) for $8.
Q: If I get hungry, is there food available?
A: Yes! The festival will provide complimentary light bites in Ballroom B/C/D of the Student Center. If you want something more substantial, there are many options in The Kitchens on the first floor of the Student Center. The charge is $15 for all-you-can-eat food service. Other options are in Wolf Den Plaza, a short walk from the Student Center across E. Cotate Avenue.
Q: One of the authors I heard read was amazing! I want to buy their book! Where can I get it?
A: You have two options. If the author is affiliated with any of the festival’s participating presses, you can purchase the book directly from them at their table in the Table Bazaar. If the author is not affiliated with a participating press, you can buy the book from the Sonoma State University Bookstore on the 2nd floor of the Student Center. The Bookstore will be open until 9PM.
If you have any questions on the day of the festival, head to outdoor tables in front of the Student Center entrance or the Stevenson Hall main entrance, or the table on the third floor of the Student Center. We will happily help you!
